about me

my name is wren, i'm 22, and i'm a licensed handpoker + multimedia artist located on the central coast of california. i've been tattooing myself + friends since i was in high school, and currently i am working as a guest artist at Royal Sword in grover beach. its my absolute joy and pleasure 2 be able to share my art through the art of tattooing :-)

besides tattooing, my other current projects include a custom blockprinted tarot deck, shirt designs and upcycling clothes, and i'm always working on paintings and other forms of artwork. you can find it all thru my social media and shop in the links section above

about handpoked tattoos

handpoking is a traditional form of tattooing that is machine-free, each dot applied manually, one-by-one. they typically take a bit longer than machine tattoos, and in many people's experience, they hurt less + are overall a more gentle tattoo experience - less pain, less noise, and potentially less damage to the skin. they also tend to heal a bit faster than some machine tattoos; many of my own have healed fully in about a week and a half!

many of the supplies and processes i use are the same as would be used for a machine-done tattoo. when applied correctly, handpokes will last just as long as machine tats! if you'd like to book a tattoo with me, see the booking info link above :-)
